Your nutrition appointment
When you book an appointment you will receive a short
questionnaire and food diary to complete and bring with you to your first nutrition appointment. These are used to help gather more in-depth information about you, your diet and your health.
First nutrition appointment
Your first nutrition appointment will take up to an hour and a half. We will discuss your goals and your full medical history so that the best possible advice is given.
You will leave with a
nutrition plan with specific treatment aims, tailored to your needs. You may also be offered
leaflets/information on specific conditions and details of where to buy healthy foods locally. Depending on your preferences and particular health problem, supplements may be recommended.
Follow-up nutrition appointment
The follow-up is to check your progress to
ensure that your nutrition programme is working for you. It is normally booked for at least four weeks after your first consultation. Changes to your programme will be made if necessary, setting new goals and reviewing your supplements.
On-going nutrition support
We are all different, however lasting change in your eating habits is often difficult to achieve without on-going support.
Support and coaching is available between your nutrition appointments via phone or email during office hours. Short calls or email questions will be free of charge.
